July 17 Posting

Here we are again in the chemo chair absorbing more carboplatin.  The doctor reviewed the CT scan from yesterday with us and he again was delighted.  Most of the tumors were the same as last time, and one had grown slightly, but two of the larger ones had shrunk noticeably.  He said that I am in the top 5 to 1 percent of patients with my kind of cancer in terms of how well things are going for me.   He said I should be eating salmon and such stuff, so maybe it was good we caught so many salmon last week on our cruise to Alaska.  We did not see any bears on this trip, so I think we will have to go back . . . and get some more salmon while we are there.  LaRue says the grocery store has plenty of salmon.  But they don't have bears.

  1. It is a shame that they have relocated all the bears in Yellowstone Park. When we first went there when our children were little, you could get bear slobber on your car windows. It is much closer than Alaska, but of course you can't get Salmon in Wyoming unless it is the land locked Salmon in the high mountain lakes in the Wind River mountains.

At least you are holding your own and more worried about bears than other things.
